S.E. PozaI've had textured Asian hot sauces before so this was of a type that I've had a good deal of experience with. I liked the texture that it brought to the table, especially when used with rice as it adds interest to the softness. I also enjoyed putting it on pizza as an alternative to Tabasco or pepper flakes. It is hot and carries a good punch so a little goes a long way. The flavor is infused with some umami as well as heat as it has more complexity than other hot sauces from the mushroom.
The addition of mushrooms adds a whole new dimension of flavor to already-delicious chili crisp. A bit more earthy, complex flavor. Still very legit heat. I love to mix with soy sauce and use with dumplings.
